A South African pop star was shot and killed in an apparent road rage incident in the township of Soweto. Tebogo Madingoane, a member of the chart-topping Mafikizolo group, was killed on Saturday. Police said the 32-year-old was shot after an alleged altercation with another driver, who has been arrested. Mafikizolo, who play Kwaito music, recently won best African pop and best group at the South African Music Association Awards. A police spokesman said Madingoane was pronounced dead on arrival in hospital. The future of trio Mafikizolo is uncertain because of singer Nonhlanhla Mafu is heavily pregnant and has been on maternity leave for a number of months, leaving Theo Kgosinkwe to front the band.
