A popular radio broadcaster and provincial publisher was shot dead by unknown gunmen in this central Philippines city police said. Rowell Endrinal was attacked by two men as he stepped out of his house, said Chief Superintendent Jaime Lazar, the regional police chief. Endrinal, aged in his mid-40s, hosts a political commentary program at local radio station DZRC, and also publishes the regional newspaper Bicol Metro News, local associates said. He also headed the local press club. His wife Mina Endrinal said the victim received a death threat on his mobile phone a day earlier, but said her husband did not identify the caller. Full Story
