Russian presidential candidate Ivan Rybkin has resurfaced in Ukraine, five days after he disappeared. He told Russian media he was visiting friends in Kiev and “decided not to listen to the radio or TV” for a few days. Mr Rybkin said he was “shocked” when he read newspapers on Tuesday and saw his absence was being given wide attention. There was widespread speculation in Russia that he had been kidnapped or killed to remove him from elections, or had staged his disappearance as a publicity stunt. Full Story
