Almost 70 people were injured Tuesday by explosions and a major fire at an Indonesian petrochemicals plant that police said were caused by an accident. The blaze engulfed chemical tanks at the Petro Widada premises in the town of Gresik, near Surabaya city in East Java province. Police began evacuating residents within a kilometre of the plant as people complained of eye irritations from a huge pall of black smoke. Surabaya police chief Ade Raharja said 68 people were treated for burns at several hospitals. Full Story
