Mueller hails FBI's anti-terror work

With Americans breathing a bit easier after a holiday terror alert passed without incident, FBI Director Robert Mueller said Wednesday that federal agents have substantially strengthened the nation’s ability to ward off terrorist attacks. Mueller said the FBI is becoming more adept, both at home and abroad, in drawing a bead on terrorist groups that are plotting against the United States. He also predicted that Osama bin Laden’s days are numbered and said the public isn’t aware of some of the agency’s successes because of the need for secrecy. Full Story
