Two Iraqis were killed in a car bomb explosion, as the US military moved closer to routing the last fugitives from fallen dictator Saddam Hussein’s Baath party, capturing a “most wanted” and tightening the net on the regime’s number two. The bomb exploded outside a police station in the violence-hit Iraqi town of Baquba on Wednesday, just days after another device killed five outside a mosque in the town. There was initial confusion over the number of deaths, with police claiming the bomber was killed in the attack.
