Palestinians carried out fewer attacks against Israelis in 2003 than the year before, claiming half as many victims, Israel’s Shin Beth internal security service revealed in its latest report. The report, released Thursday, also said 213 people were killed in 2003, including 50 soldiers and policemen, in attacks on “Israeli targets”, compared with 451 in 2002. The Shin Beth also said that the 3,838 Palestinian attacks carried out last year marked a drop of more than 30 percent from the previous year’s tally of 5,301. The Shin Beth count includes suicide bombings in Israel and shooting attacks in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, as well as Molotov cocktails thrown at troops or Jewish settlers. Full Story
