Pervez Musharraf said on Tuesday that he did not have a “whistle” to stop violence in Jammu and Kashmir , but could “facilitate” that the Pakistani soil was not misused for terrorist activities. Addressing a press conference shortly after India and Pakistan agreed to resume a composite dialogue next month, he emphasised that the decision was a leap forward, but tempered it by saying that it was “just a beginning”.
