An AS/400 programmer in Florida was given a one-year sentence earlier this month for intentionally deleting his former employer’s critical OS/400 applications. Federal officials say Jesus C. Diaz caused more than $80,000 in damages and left Hellmann Worldwide Logistics’ AS/400 systems down for 48 hours, when he remotely accessed the system and deleted the applications he had set up. But thanks to quick thinking on the company’s part, officials were able to track Diaz down.
