Israeli troops shot and killed an armed Islamic Jihad fugitive Sunday just outside a village near the West Bank city of Ramallah, the army said. Forces operating in the village of Nameh — some about nine miles from the West Bank commercial hub of Ramallah — spotted the armed Palestinian and fired on him, the army said. The man, later identified as an Islamic Jihad fugitive, had a semiautomatic weapon and rounds of ammunition, the army said.
