A former employee of American Eagle Outfitters has been sentenced to 1 1/2 years in federal prison for using the Internet to encourage break-ins at the retailer’s Web site and launching an attack against it. Kenneth Patterson, 38, of Greensburg, was also ordered Tuesday to pay more than $64,000 in restitution as part of his September guilty pleas to password trafficking and computer damage.
