Syria turned over to Turkish authorities 22 people wanted for questioning in connection with four suicide truck bombings in Istanbul, Turkish officials said Sunday. The arrests of the 22 Turks, who reportedly had fled the country, were announced the day after a Turkish court charged an alleged accomplice in the bombings who was captured trying to cross into neighboring Iran. The investigation into the double truck bombings on Nov. 15 and 20 has sharpened suspicions that the attacks may be linked to the al Qaeda terrorist network, according to Turkish officials.
