An Afghan government militiaman was killed when soldiers from the U.S.-led force in the country traded fire with a group of suspected militants in a central province, the U.S. military said Tuesday. News of the violence came as a tripartite commission made up of military and civilian officials from Afghanistan, the United States and Pakistan met in Kabul to discuss cooperation in the U.S.-led war on terror. The clash happened Monday near a U.S. base at Deh Rawud in Uruzgan province, Major Richard Sater, a spokesman for U.S.-led forces in Afghanistan, told a news briefing.
