San’aa, Yemen – The man behind the terrorist attack against the Virginia-based USS Cole has been arrested. The SABA News Agency said Mohammed Hamdi al-Ahdal, also known as Abu Assem al-Makky, was arrested after security forces surrounded his hide-out west of the capital, San’a. Yemeni security information said the Saudi-born al-Ahdal was a mastermind of the 2002 attack on a French oil tanker off Yemen’s coast and the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, which killed 17 US sailors.Full Story
