AP: Indonesia Military Denies Aceh Abuses

Indonesia’s military commander in the rebellious Aceh province told The Associated Press on Friday that beating rebels is acceptable as long as they’re not seriously hurt, but denied persistent allegations his troops are torturing civilians.
