A flood of foreign fighters into Iraq will lead to more terrorist attacks in the country, says the top U.S. administrator in Iraq. Paul Bremer told Britain’s The Times that hundreds of fighters from Sudan, Syria, Yemen and Saudi Arabia have entered Iraq and are trying to stop reconstruction efforts in the unstable country. “We’re going to have increased attacks and increased terrorism because the terrorists can see the reconstruction dynamic (in Iraq) is moving in our direction,” Bremer said.
