U.S. Survivor Angry as Kuwaiti Killer Spared Noose

A U.S. defense contractor who was maimed when his colleague was murdered in Kuwait before the Iraq war was quoted as saying on Thursday that he was disappointed at a decision to spare the killer from execution. “I am not sure he deserves to live,” David Caraway was quoted as saying in the Arab Times daily newspaper. He said he had lost partial use of his right hand and right leg as a result of injuries sustained when he and fellow American Michael Rene Pouliot were ambushed in their vehicle near the main U.S. base in Kuwait in January.
