Six Kenyans charged with murder for their alleged roles in last year’s car bombing of an Israeli-owned hotel in Mombasa have appeared in Nairobi high court. But the case was adjourned until 21 November, after their defence lawyer called for a suspension until the trial of two other suspects set for 14 November. Eighteen people – 12 Kenyans, three Israelis and three presumed bombers – died in the attack on the Mombasa Paradise Hotel last November. The suspects also face charges relating to the simultaneous unsuccessful attempt to shoot down an Israeli passenger jet as it took off from Mombasa airport. Full Story
