Two soldiers have been killed in a grenade attack near the house of the chief minister of Indian-administered Kashmir. Four others, including two press photographers, have been injured in the explosion and the exchange of firing that followed. Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, who heads the elected state government, was not at home during the attack. Three different militant groups – Al Nasirin, Farzandan-e-Milat and Al Mansurian – say they carried it out. The militants threw grenades near Mr Sayeed’s home and soldiers and security guards had fired back. Security forces then chased the militants to a nearby shopping centre where exchanges of gunfire are continuing, police say. Full Story
