A Swiss diplomat is alleged to have been raped in the Indian capital, Delhi. Two men are said to have attacked the victim after she attended a film screening late on Tuesday. It has now also emerged that another woman – a film-maker – was also attacked at the festival on the same night. The attacks are the latest in a series of highly-publicised assaults on women in the Indian capital. The diplomat left an auditorium in central Delhi after attending a screening at the International Film Festival. Police say the two men pushed her into her car and then raped her. Reports say she was later left near a hospital. The car was found abandoned. The attacks have shocked the administration and senior government and police officials are said to be investigating. “These incidents create a feeling of insecurity,” said Delhi governor Vijai Kapoor. “And that we will not let happen,” he told journalists.
