The leaders of Britain and Ireland are to meet here on Monday for a mini-summit on Northern Ireland’s stalled peace process and whether elections for a new assembly should go ahead. Joining British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his Irish counterpart Bertie Ahern will be Britain’s Northern Ireland Secretary Paul Murphy and Irish Foreign Minister Brian Cowen, a Downing Street spokesman said Sunday. “This will be a full summit to look at where we are,” Ahern told Ireland’s RTE radio. The meeting at 10 Downing Street will consider the key decision on a possible green light for Northern Ireland elections next month. Full Story
