German investors yesterday told the Government to show more commitment to tackling insecurity. The group took National Security minister Chris Murungaru to task over what they termed as failure by the Government to respond adequately to the challenge of the deteriorating security situation. Failure by the State to put in place practical measures to check run-away insecurity would not only deter new investors from coming in but also force the ones already here to reconsider their continued presence, they warned. Key concerns raised by the investors at a luncheon hosted for the minister in Nairobi were the escalating crime levels, delay in bringing culprits to book and poor remuneration for the police force.
