Two U.S. military police officers were killed and 13 were injured in a mortar attack on the Abu Ghraib prison west of Baghdad, the military reported Sunday. The attack took place at about 10 p.m. Saturday and injured no inmates in the prison. The deaths brought to 164 the number of U.S. soldiers who have died in Iraq since May 1 when President Bush declared major fighting was over. During the heavy fighting before then, 138 soldiers died.
