Police in Colombia say eight foreign tourists have been kidnapped by suspected members of the left-wing guerrilla group, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC. The group is believed to include four Israelis, two Britons, a German and a Spaniard. The UK Foreign Office confirmed to BBC News Online that two Britons were being held, and said that consular officials would travel to the region when conditions permitted. Thousands of troops have been mobilised to search for the missing tourists in the high mountains of the Sierra Nevada, 750 kilometres (465 miles) north of the capital, Bogota. Full Story
