The British embassy in Tehran condemned Iranian officials for failing to provide adequate security after its offices came under gunfire yesterday for the second time in a week. Two men on a motorbike fired three or four shots “at or near” the building at 1am, an embassy spokesman said. Last Wednesday, shots fired from a motorbike struck the offices shortly before noon. No one was injured in either of the shootings, which come as a row develops between Iran and Britain following the detention of a former Iranian diplomat in Durham last month. Full Story
