Reporter Vasko Popetreski The Interior Ministry considers yesterday’s attempted attack on the Gosince military watchtower a terrorist attack and states that it is still investigating this incident. The police still do not know who the perpetrators are. The Defence Ministry said that the attack came from the territory of the Republic of Macedonia, from the nearby village of Lukare Maalo. Other security sources told A1 that the attackers were Macedonian citizens, but they did not give any other details. Interior Ministry sources say that this latest attack did not come as a surprise to them because they know that there are certain individuals and groups operating in this region. They say that the police know of a few groups whose members are armed and sometimes wear uniforms. These groups move from the village of Tanusevci to the village of Aracinovo, and then they continue on to the Kumanovo and Lipkovo regions. Most of them are Macedonian citizens, but there are also some Kosovo citizens. Interior Ministry sources say that these groups do not have any support among the local population. Asked what the police are doing to neutralize these groups, Interior Ministry sources told us that they are undertaking all measures necessary to locate these individuals. Interior Ministry sources claim that Avdyla Jakupi, better known as Commander Cakalla, an inhabitant of the Skopje village of Aracinovo, had nothing to do with yesterday’s incident. Full Story
