Bank site shut down after hackers attack

The Middlesex Savings Bank was forced to shut down its Web site yesterday after customers complained a hacker was keeping them from doing their banking. People logging on to the main page of the site (www.middlesexbank.com) found a message reading “Attacked by SCRIPTX” followed by a note reading “Bush Where Is the Peace?? Message For bush: You are not a Man ideal to make peace in the world…..I hate you and I hate your country.” Natick police received a call from a customer in the afternoon and notified the bank officials who were already aware of the problem. The Web site was closed late yesterday afternoon, said Sgt. Bob Dunlop. “It doesn’t appear anything was affected,” he said. “Somebody hacked into their Web page from the outside I think. It made it impossible for people from the outside to do their online banking.” Full Story
