A Colombian mayor who had been threatened by leftist rebels has been stabbed to death at his home. Authorities said Suaza Mayor Gentil Bahamon was killed early Monday after his wife let in three men who claimed to be security personnel. The killing is under investigation. The rebel Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, the nation’s largest rebel group, has told scores of mayors to resign or face death.
