Kenya said it had recovered five light anti-tank weapons and six AK 47 rifles each with 30 bullets during a Monday raid on the house of a man accused of links to al Qaeda who killed himself in a grenade blast this month. Feisal Ali detonated a hand grenade on August 1 in the coastal city of Mombasa, killing himself and a police officer while resisting arrest over the bombing of an Israeli-owned hotel near the city last November. Also recovered in the house were a live hand grenade, walkie-talkie radios, military manuals and rubber stamps for visa entry to various countries. “The dangerous items were found in the house which clearly indicate that those living there were planning to cause acts of terrorism against innocent people,” Kenya’s National Security Minister Chris Murungaru said in a statement.
