Ten suspected members of a dissident republican paramilitary group, the Continuity IRA, were arrested by Irish police following the discovery of what is believed to be a training camp in a forest in southern Ireland, a spokesman said. “Ten males, ranging in ages from their late teens to their late 40s, were arrested at the scene at what appears to be a training camp,” police said. “It is believed that they are all aligned to the dissident republic grouping the Continuity IRA,” a splinter group of the Irish Republican Army (IRA), the most powerful Roman Catholic paramilitary group in Northern Ireland, police added. “A number of firearms, a quantity of ammunition and other paramilitary paraphernalia were seized.” Full Story
