US, Britain, Libya meet amid new hopes for Lockerbie settlement

US, British and Libyan diplomats met in London to review a proposed deal under which Tripoli would accept responsibility for the 1988 Lockerbie bombing and pay compensation to victims’ families, State Department officials said.
