Saudi citizen Omar al-Bayoumi denied Sunday he was linked to the September 11 attacks and said he was ready to meet U.S. investigators again provided it was done in Saudi Arabia with Saudi officials present. U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft told ABC television on Sunday U.S. authorities planned to interview Bayoumi again over two of the September 11 suicide plane hijackers, who U.S. officials say he knew while living in the United States. “I sent a letter to (Saudi interior minister) Prince Nayef…saying I was innocent of (any link to September 11),” Bayoumi told Dubai-based Al Arabiya television.
