Online crimes such as system intrusion and identity theft may become one of the biggest problems for Korea in the near future, according to a United States law enforcement official. “Because Korea is the second largest information and technology (IT) market in the world and has well developed infrastructure, a lot of computer criminals are using the nation as a jumping point to engage in online crime elsewhere, mainly the United States,” Maeng Joo-sung, chief of the Seoul branch of the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), told The Korea Times during an interview.” Full Story
