Nepal’s Maoist insurgents have launched an oust-America campaign, accusing the US of sabotaging peace talks, allegedly in retaliation against their inclusion in the US state department’s terror watch list. At a rally organized in the capital Kathmandu on June 20, politburo member of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) and spokesperson of the rebels’ negotiating team, Krishna Bahadur Mahara, went full tilt against “American imperialism.” Accusing the US of trying to derail the peace talks and of having designs on South Asia, Mahara said the US was hatching a conspiracy by “playing its cards from behind the scenes.” Full Story
