Alert has been doubled in southern Philippines against Indonesian terror suspect Fathur Roman Al-Ghozi and two of his fugitive Abu Sayyaf companions who might use the “southern backdoor” to escape. Armed Forces Southern Command chief Maj. Gen. Roy Kyamko said that although they highly expect the possibility, he pointed out Al-Ghozi, Abdul Mukim Edris, and Merang Abante could not reach their “destination” that fast. The three fugitives walked out of their detention cells from the intelligence unit compound inside Camp Crame Monday dawn amidst the continuing government’s anti-terrorism drive. “Probabe route could be Mindanao but they have not means to reach immediately the point,” Kyamko said.
