Fourth JI Suspect Nabbed in Thailand

The fourth suspect in an alleged bomb plot against embassies and tourist spots in Thailand surrendered to authorities in southern Thailand on Tuesday, an interior ministry official said. Three Thai Muslims accused of belonging to regional terror group Jemaah Islamiah (JI) were arrested on June 10 over the plot allegedly planned for the Apec summit here in October. ‘The fourth JI suspect, Samarnn Wakaji, contacted authorities to organise his surrender in Yala province,’ said the ministry’s deputy permanent secretary, Mr Siva Saengmanee. ‘He is in detention and will be investigated by police.’ Full Story
