Four police officers and one villager were shot dead last night when unknown assailants launched simultaneous attacks on three police checkpoints. Police at checkpoints in Saiburi, Yaling and Nongjik districts were checking vehicles about 7.30pm when they were attacked by gunmen riding motorcycles. The attackers opened fire with automatic weapons. The attacks seemd to have been carefully coordinated, police said. Full Story
