TO crack down on cyber-crime, the Pune Police have decided to launch an anti-cyber crime cell. Though only a few cases have been reported in the city over the last few years, the cell is being launched as a precautionary measure. Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal will open the cell on Tuesday at a function to mark the 39th foundation day of Pune Police Commissionerate at the office of Police Commissioner and will be attended by Minister of State for Home Rajendra Darda. Police Commissioner A N Roy said, to begin with, the cell will be manned by two sub-inspectors and six constables. Its functioning would be monitored by an officer of the rank of an inspector.
