At least 12 Indian soldiers and two militants have died during a gun battle at a military base in Indian-administered Kashmir, police say. The battle erupted when suspected Muslim separatist rebels attacked the camp at Sunjwan, about 10 kilometres (6 miles) south of Jammu, the winter capital. No group has yet acknowledged responsibility for the attack.
