Probe begins; no data compromised as sites were to be used internally. All it took was a phone call for an Internet hijacker to steal 65,000 Web site addresses belonging to Los Angeles County. The addresses were then sold and used to send pornographic material and junk e-mail, and to try to hack into other computers. It was a man from England who works for a security company that discovered the crime but not until this hijacker tried to hack into his company’s firewall, county officials said.
