Several Iranians set themselves on fire today to protest a sweeping crackdown by France against a long-established armed organization whose goal is the overthrow of Iran’s Islamic Republic. Two women and a man set themselves on fire during protests outside the headquarters of the French counterintelligence services near the Eiffel Tower, the police said. A 38-year-old man set himself ablaze in London on Tuesday. All were hospitalized but as of tonight, none had died. A fifth person, a man, doused himself with a flammable liquid and tried unsuccessfully to set himself on fire today outside the French Embassy in Bern, Switzerland. Full Story
