IMMIGRATION Minister Philip Ruddock was forced to constantly change his e-mail address to avoid bombardment by refugee supporters, an advocate group said today. NSW-based group HOPE Caravan said supporters had sent hundreds of letters to Mr Ruddock’s personal e-mail account to protest against the deportation of asylum seekers. The group said it started sending Mr Ruddock the letters in February but after about four days the e-mails started bouncing back with an error message indicating the address was no longer valid. The group has now started another e-mail campaign to what it believes is Mr Ruddock’s 12th personal email address and is inviting supporters to “come and campaign with us and let’s see how long before he changes his e-mail address again”.
