Arson gangs damaged an automatic teller machine at a Citibank branch Thursday to protest an upcoming European Union summit near this northern port city, police said. According to police arsonists doused the ATM with flammable liquid and set it on fire with a bomb made of propane gas canisters. No guards were present in the early morning attack. The fire completely damaged the ATM and caused some damage to the bank foyer, part of a false ceiling and some desks. No injuries were reported. Police said an unidentified caller told a national paper the attack was “a message in light of the EU Summit. Solidarity to political prisoners.” Full Story
