Lokolo Tambwe was a nurse at the makeshift hospital set up in the east Congo town of Bunia to deal with the victims of more than a month of fighting between ethnic Hema and Lendu militias. But he was neither Hema nor Lendu. He was taken from his house by rebel soldiers on Wednesday night, his body found late on Thursday in a disused house nearby. It was not clear why the rebels wanted him dead. Aid workers say 14 people have disappeared in Bunia since Sunday, death threats are whirling about town and people are terrified.
