A senior leader of the armed wing of Hamas was among the six people killed in an Israeli helicopter strike in northern Gaza City, Hamas sources and his family told AFP. Hamas sources at Gaza City’s main al-Shifa hospital named him as Yasser Taha, a senior member of the Ezzedin al-Qassam Brigades, from al-Boureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. His relatives at the hospital said another family member was also killed in the attack, but it was not clear whether or not he was a Hamas member. The attack came just hours after Israel vowed to “completely wipe out” Hamas and its leaders following a suicide bombing in Jerusalem on Wednesday which left 17 people dead, including the Ezzedin al-Qassam Brigades attacker. At least six Palestinians were killed, including a three-year-old girl, when several Israeli helicopter gunships fired missiles at a car in northern Gaza City, Palestinian medical sources said.
