Saudi Arabia announced on Sunday the names and nationalities of 11 suspects detained last week over the Riyadh suicide bombings but the list did not include the name of the attack’s alleged mastermind. An interior ministry statement, read out on state television, said the detainees were nine Saudis and two Moroccans, adding that police had seized a large amount of explosives and arms during raids on their hideouts in the Muslim holy city of Medina. The statement, however, did not mention Ali Abdul-Rahman al-Ghamidi whom Saudi security sources said last week had been arrested for allegedly planning the May 12 bombings that killed at least 35 people, including nine Americans.
