Bombay gunman surrenders

A security guard who shot dead a commanding officer and took six colleagues hostage at Bombay’s international airport has surrendered. The guard gave himself up after a seven-hour stand-off with commandos and riot police. The hostages – five women and man – were released unharmed. “He has surrendered after his mother, father and two police officers went in. There was no harm to anybody. He came out himself,” said Bombay Police Chief Ranjit Sharma. Full Story
