Interior Minister Prince Naif yesterday denied as “baseless” foreign agency reports that security forces had arrested three Moroccans in Jeddah who were planning to hijack a civilian plane and carry out a suicide operation. However, the minister said police had held two Moroccans who were wanted for previous security cases. “There is no truth in this. The truth is that those who were arrested were two Moroccans who were wanted over previous security cases,” Saudi TV quoted Prince Naif as saying. Prince Naif also disclosed that security agents had identified five of the nine bombers who carried out the Riyadh blasts on May 12.
