An explosion ripped through an outdoor cafe in southeastern Moscow on Wednesday afternoon, killing a waitress and injuring eight, a prosecutor said. The blast was probably caused by an overheated gas canister, Nikolai Savchenko, a deputy city prosecutor, told Interfax. The explosion occurred at 2:35 p.m. at the Georgia cafe at 13 3rd Krutitsky Pereulok near the Proletarskaya metro station. Six of the eight who sustained injuries in the blast were cafe employees, while the others were diners.
