Israelis Look for a Way to Stop Suicide Bombings
The recent surge in Palestinian suicide bombings is leading Israeli politicians and security agencies to ask what the country has to do to stop the attacks. The security forces sealed off the West Bank on Sunday, but a 19-year-old Palestinian woman slipped through and blew herself up at a shopping mall in northern Israel a day later, killing three Israelis. The army maintains a permanent presence in the volatile West Bank city of Hebron, yet three young Palestinian men from one neighborhood carried out suicide bombings over the weekend, leaving nine dead in addition to themselves.
